Teaching with Archives
During my time at Northeastern University I have worked with colleagues to develop a teaching with archives program that is learner-centered, representative of marginalized voices, and empowers the participant/student as the expert.
Although the Northeastern Archives are currently based in a library that requires access through security desk to the Archives it has been important to me in my work to bring non-Northeastern communities in to see and participate in new modes of storytelling and learning about records that represent a diverse and socially engaged Boston, a narrative of the city that is often obscured by its revolutionary roots.
